When Sarah asked me to take photos to celebrate her graduation from Western Carolina University this December, I didn’t hesitate like I sometimes do. I shot two senior sessions this year, but not an actual graduation session with a cap and gown. She gave me a rough idea of what she wanted and immediately my mind went to work.
Sarah has big brown eyes, beautiful flowing hair, and a smile that is electric. We’ve known her and her husband for a few years now and I wanted to do a great job for them because I know how much works she’s put in. After doing some research and visualizing what I wanted to accomplish (in conjunction with Sarah’s ideas), I had to decide where to shoot. I just completed a family session for the Schuler’s at the Cherokee Island Park last week, and since we only used a few locations, I decided to head back there. There are plenty of amazing spots and angles to explore, so we just picked a few and had fun with it.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the shoot. Sarah is truly as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Oh, and congratulations to Sarah on her upcoming graduation! She’s going to be one of the finest teachers ever!
